SHORT BIO

Meredith Smart is thrilled to be working with Sobe Arts!  She recently moved to Miami after receiving her MA in Text and Performance from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London, where her thesis focused on the amazing benefits that Shakespeare performance can bring to young people.  Meredith honed her skills as a teaching artist at Bank Street Summer Camp in New York City, where she has directed their Shakespeare program for the past six years.  She studied acting at NYU in Tisch's Experimental Theatre Wing, and her focus on physical based acting, along with her training at RADA have been utilized in her work with kids, as well as adults in productions such as The Origins of the Specifics: The Musical at the Hip Pocket Theatre in Texas and A Light at the GBS Theatre in London .  As an actress she has worked on many stages, including P.S.122 and The Public Theater.
